Support Poetry for Everyone

At Poetry Forward, we believe everyone can write meaningful poetry. Whether that’s something you hope to publish in your favorite magazine, something you want to have for an open mic or poetry slam, something to share with someone close to you or something just for yourself, we want to work with your school, your senior center, your library, your business, you name it.

Poetry is one of the oldest ways we have to tell stories, process the world, examine our lives and our experiences, yet there are no organizations in Nebraska supporting poets as full time artists outside of maybe the Universities. Poetry Forward sends professional poets with decades of experience to everyone, into schools and communities around the region and creates conversations between people of differing viewpoints, showing them what Art can mean to them.
